Let us know if you have questions or we can help as we settle in to our new routines.

If you need to change how your child is going home, please let us know by 3 pm to ensure we get the message delivered. Also, email 2 people (to ensure message gets to child): Your child's teacher AND lmueller@lvisd.org. (Don't assume a Rooms message makes it to your child's teacher).

Lunches were fabulous, recess is fun, and making new friends has been great!
As we prepare for dismissal, a few reminders: You must have a RED car tag. Please leave it visible until your child is in the car. PREK/Kinder on gym side, and 1st/2nd is at the front. PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD. Multiple siblings sit with the YOUNGEST. The lines run long because over 300 regular bus riders have parents that want to pick up the first day/week. It will get better as more student ride the buses home. Thank you for your patience!

Hey Bears! 🐾 As we gear up for the first day of school on Monday, August 4th, we want to help make your drop-off and pick-up smooth and stress-free!
Check out our Traffic Flow Videos for each campus — Primary, Intermediate, Junior High, and High School — right here 👉 https://www.lvisd.org/page/traffic
💙🤍 As we get back into the routine, please remember to be patient during those busy morning and afternoon car lines. Traffic is usually heavier the first couple of weeks while everyone adjusts, but hang tight — it gets better fast!
Let’s start the school year strong, safe, and with that Bear spirit! 🐻

Pick up begins at 3:40. Be sure you have your RED car tag this year. PREK/Kinder on Gym side and 1st/2nd at front of the school.

It’s that time of year again — our halls will soon be buzzing with Bear pride as we kick off a brand-new school year!
As we get back into the routine, we want to remind everyone to please be patient during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. 🚌✨ Traffic tends to be heavier the first couple of weeks as everyone adjusts to new schedules, and our bus routes may run a little behind at first — but we promise it will smooth out quickly!
✅ Arrive a few minutes early if you can.
✅ Watch for crossing guards & little Bears.
✅ Smile, wave, and show that Bear spirit even in traffic!
Thank you for helping keep all of our Bears safe and making the first days back a positive experience for everyone.
Let’s make this year the best yet — Go Bears! 🐻💙🤍

These improvements are all about creating the best possible learning environment for our students and staff. We ask for your patience and positivity as we work through the upgrades — the end result will be worth it! 💙🤍
Let’s make this year unforgettable. Together, we’re building a brighter future for LVISD! 💪

We’re excited to represent at the Title III Symposium, a statewide TEA conference celebrating bilingual excellence in schools across Texas!
Our amazing art teachers — Mrs. Scull-Hons, Mrs. Olivarez, and Mrs. McCloskey collaborated to showcase 100 stunning student-created artworks woven especially for the event. What an incredible way to share our students’ creativity with educators from across the state! 🎨✨
We’re also proud of our dedicated staff members — Mrs. Humphrey, Ms. Lansford (HS Chemistry), and Mrs. Shedrock (JH Foundations/Dyslexia) — who attended the symposium to bring back even more knowledge and inspiration for our classrooms.
👏 Thank you to our talented students and passionate educators for making La Vernia shine. Once a Bear, always a Bear!
