Thanks to the support of our community and the 2023 Bond, our little Bears will soon enjoy new spaces designed for learning, growth, and endless possibilities! 📚✨

💙📚 October is Dyslexia Awareness Month 📚💙

At La Vernia ISD, we stand Bear Strong 🐻—supporting every learner on their journey. This month, we’re shining a bright light on our incredible students with dyslexia. 💡

Dyslexia doesn’t define our students—it empowers them to think differently, persevere, and show us what true determination looks like. Together, we celebrate awareness, understanding, and support! 🧠✨

💙 Let’s continue to build a community where every student has the tools and encouragement to thrive.

📣 URGENT REMINDER, BEAR FAMILY! 🐻💙

To ensure your child receives the care they need at school, please complete and return the Health-Related Services Consent Form ASAP!

📄 Texas law (SB 12) now requires written parental consent before school staff can provide any health-related services.

❗Without this consent, we cannot:

-Evaluate illness or injury
-Administer first aid
-Monitor chronic or acute conditions
-Coordinate health services
-Conduct state-required screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.)

📬 Forms were sent home with students—check those backpacks! 🏫✏️

✅ Sign and return the form immediately to avoid delays in care.
